Toyota Canada Inc. reports May 2011 sales

TORONTO, - Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today reported sales of 12,030 Toyota, Lexus and Scion cars, trucks and SUVs in May 2011. The results, down 32.7% from May 2010, reflect the effects of production uncertainty during the month.
“We have more than 30,000 new vehicles on the ground in Canada and with more arriving daily, our Toyota, Lexus and Scion dealerships are heading into June with great offers and plenty of product available for consumers,” said Tony Wearing, Managing Director, Toyota Canada Inc. “We are undertaking aggressive measures with our program protection guarantee so Canadians can buy with confidence knowing they are protected for deliveries to the end of September.”

TORONTO, Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today reported strong sales of 19,327 Toyota, Lexus and Scion cars, trucks and SUVs in April 2011, marking a significant increase of 9.4% from a year earlier.
Several records were achieved across all 3 TCI brands, with both Scion and Toyota trucks marking their best months ever, and Lexus achieving its best April on record.

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today reported sales of 9,480 Toyota, Lexus and Scion cars, trucks and SUVs in February 2011, down 25.3% from a year earlier. Toyota Canada continued to see model line sales increases, including the second best February ever for Lexus. Large vehicles and SUVs continued to perform well, with best-ever February results for the Canadian-built Toyota RAV4 and Lexus RX 350, all positive signs as the industry enters what is traditionally its most important selling season of the year. Other vehicles showing strong sales included new generation vehicles such as the Toyota Avalon and Sienna.

TORONTO, Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today reported sales of 9,051 Toyota, Lexus and Scion cars, trucks and SUVs in January 2011, down 1.6% from a year earlier. Highlights for the month include a 2.8% increase in car sales, led by accelerating demand for Toyota’s core, Canadian-built models, the new 2011 Toyota Corolla and Toyota Matrix. Also, with the addition of Scion, January 2011 Toyota sales have surpassed sales for the same period last year.
