I agree with your latest article on Barak. Yaalon did a better job stamping out west bank terror than Barak did. Why bibi cannot see past him aside from politics is hard to understand. He simply is not a good land general, not like sharon, orr or eitan/eitam. He weakens Israel and is notorious for hitting empty buildings while israelis in the south are being maimed or killed.

I suppose Israel is doomed as bibi will not replace him or shift him to say to minister without portfolio.

And Turkel never did specify who gave the paintball order on the marmora. I suspect it was either Barak or he signed off on it.

His answer to you and me would likely be-- did you ever serve israel in uniform?

Defense Minister Barak's bungling of the flotilla boarding is yet another example of his ineptitude and irresponsibility.

There was no need to endanger Israeli troops.

How could Ehud Barak not see the looming disaster? Stopping a large Gaza-bound ship could have been carried out below the waterline, or by an assault on the bridge, using smoke bombs and tear gas to take control. Dropping individual soldiers into a mob of hostile people lacks reason.
