CommentsI HAD to read this article as I've thought SHEP was a closet lib for the last two years. I think he suffers from post-traumatic-university syndrome, whereby it takes 10-15 years to clear your mind of the utter drivel of academia.I have to say, I don't mind liberals being on FOX, as every argument needs a foil ... what I AM UPSET ABOUT, is that FOX keeps bringing back spokespersons who should be on MUCH less often. For example, Juan Williams is a good guy, but horribly stupid ... he gets that 'deer in the headlights' look every time someone delivers an argument that to ME IS SELF-EVIDENT. I'm saying 'yeah, duh' and Williams is like 'I have no ieda what you're talking about' ... which always leaves me wondering what planet he lives on, same one as Al Gore I guess ... the mush between his left and right ears. There are others that FOX should simply drop, having pathologically stupid lefties like BOB BECKEL on the shows does nobody any good. Leslie Marshall is left, but is rational in her presentation ... not a rabid dog like Beckel. FOX, PRESENT ALL SIDES BUT STOP WITH THE 'TARDs ... get some more rational folks. The 'occidental' college babe drives me nuts too, but at least she doesn't scream. Judi, you read my mind when you posted this one! Posted by MS Millr on 02/25 at 11:58 AM | # That is surely not the first time Shep has pontificated on a subject and stuck his left foot in his mouth. It would appear that Shep has not figured out that if you keep putting you hoof in your mouth you can end up with hoof in mouth disease, or at the least you will get toe main (or main toe if you prefer) poisoning. Or perhaps he is doing the Larry LaPrise dance called "The Hokey Pokey" and he is putting his right foot in and put your right foot out, put your left foot in and shake it all about . . . . Those who adopt that dance are a real problem for undertakers. When they put them in the coffin, their feet keep popping out of the coffin. Posted by JohnMinn on 02/25 at 11:16 AM | # I quit watching Smith a long time ago, but I happened to have the TV on the day he and Williams did their little dance about Wisconsin. I couldn't believe my ears and wondered once again why he remains on Fox. Like other posts I consider him not worthy of the title news reporter. Has anyone also noticed how many mistakes he makes while speaking? When his contract is up at Fox I hope they have the good sense not to renew it. Posted by Louise Wilson on 02/25 at 01:30 AM | # For a year my husband has been saying Shep was a lib. I've been saying he's entertaining and gives balance. Yesterday, he and Juan supported complete UNTRUTHS. They haven't a clue about what the financial situation is up here in WI. A not-so-funny pair of louts! How do I know this? I know people working on trying to save our state's finances. Many are worried CPAs who REALLY understand the ramifications of SB11. That conversation is now on You Tube, being promoted by the Left as "working and middle class Republicans are even beginning to see the light." I've received emails trying to sell me that crock of ----. What HOKUM! Anyone who sees these two as "Republican" or "Traditional" do so only because they, themselves are MUCH FURTHER to the left!! Posted by Candace Dainty on 02/25 at 01:13 AM | # I don't watch Shep Smith and regularly write Fox to ask for his dismissal. Wrong network for him, wrong him for them. He is vapid, sophomoric, moronic, and generally badly informed, hence his weird opinions. Who cares what this idiot thinks? It's not his leftism that offends; it's his utter stupidity. An intelligent leftist I can handle. This, this, what.....BOY, is an insult. Lucky he's on when he is. I turn him off and prepare dinner for five PM when intlligence radiates from Fox. Posted by Barbara on 02/24 at 04:15 PM | # Anyone who watches Fox on a regular basis knows that Shepard Smith is only on there to keep them "Fair and Balanced" because he definitely tips the scales to the left every chance he gets. We are actually getting tired of the "F&B" nonsense--since the rest of the "lame stream" are so far in the tank for BHO, why can't FOX just present the conservative point of view (all the time) and get rid of any/all reporters like Shep? The have high ratings now, but imagine if they were to consistently report from a conservative perspective--their ratings (which translates to $$$) would be out of this world as more and more of the country are waking up and returning to our conservative heritage--JMHO! Posted by GotFreedom on 02/24 at 04:05 PM | # What Shep and the drive-by-media are missing is that it is precisely because of the inordinate amount of power of the PUBLIC SERVANT UNIONS that has significantly driven us into this Municipal, State, and Federal financial crisis. The PUBLIC SECTOR UNIONS are negotiating against the people but the people's best interests are not being represented by the administration of the town, state, etc. Therefore the PEOPLE are pulling back on the authorization given to their administrators. Simple as that! Posted by NewRepublicans on 02/24 at 03:54 PM | # Shep Smith perfect candidate for Mark Levin’s `Kumbaya Band’Posted by Judi McLeod on Feb 24, 2011 at 10:40 AM
Wisconsin's fiscal crisis, Busting Unions
“Shepard Smith’s conversation today with commentator Juan Williams would likely surprise loyal viewers of both Fox News and MSNBC wrote Mediaite’s savvy Matt Schneider, who concludes Smith’s “Pretending (that) Wisconsin is about a fiscal crisis is “malarkey”.” Fox News’ attempts at keeping “Fair and Balanced” at the forefront, sometimes sees it doing pretzel twists to live up to its slogan, at the same time sending some of its most loyal viewers to the rant corner just to shake Shep out of their heads.
