Comments"CERN in Geneva—will soon announce that more cosmic rays do, indeed, create more clouds in earth’s atmosphere."No. The reason ? It's a laboratory ! Atmosphere is way more complicated... "More cosmic rays mean a cooler planet" Assuming that cosmic rays do influence clouds, in the atmosphere you have high clouds, which have a net warming effect, and low clouds which have a net cooling effect. Explain me how cosmic rays would interact only with low clouds...they do come from space no ? And stop with these "The IPPC want". The IPCC want 10$ fuel, really ? Is this in any of their reports ? IPCC isn't Greenpeace... Posted by Leviathan on 08/19 at 09:22 AM | # with our western world giving away so many jobs we should invoke a mandatory government plan which requires all unemployed people to gather in specific areas on the planet and raise mirrors to the sky to rebound harmful cosmic rays back to the heavens. This will reduce the damaging effects of cosmic bombardments on the planet and improve our living conditions. It provides meaningful involvement of unemployed people and citizens willing to save the planet. Now if you believe what I just typed, then you are well on your way of being a progressive liberal nutjob who has nothing better to do but drive your SAAB and listen to NPR. Holocene cold phase ca. 8.2 KYBP), and chop-off he last 4oo years ofthe Early Roman Optimum, it is getting colder againin late imperial times/Early Dark Ages. There are of course a lager number ofoscillations, but the main idea is that variability is the norm. Yes, the solar factor was never honestly been abandoned, it just hasn't factored so much into funding, universities are businesses too, and like other enterprises, there are conflicts of interest. This is natural institutional behaviour. Posted by bruce on 07/20 at 05:50 PM | # What global warming? The world isn't getting warmer. CERN in Geneva—will soon announce that more cosmic rays do, indeed, create more clouds in earth’s atmosphere. More cosmic rays mean a cooler planet Get ready for the next big bombshell in the man-made warming debate. The world’s most sophisticated particle study laboratory—CERN in Geneva—will soon announce that more cosmic rays do, indeed, create more clouds in earth’s atmosphere. More cosmic rays mean a cooler planet. Thus, the solar source of the earth’s long, moderate 1,500-year climate cycle will finally be explained.
