Mr. Gingrich has his history correct and it is refreshing to hear him spell the history out. However, and it is a big however, he does not understand Surah 9.5 in the Quran. This verse is known as "The Verse of the Sword." There can be no compromise. It is them or us according to their own writings. Israel should not be forced to make compromises to an "inventor people" dedicated to the destruction of Israel. Knowing history and applying the lessons of history are two different things.
