The name of that department ("Homeland" security) was also incredibly creepy-sounding at the time, more like something one would associate with a European fascist regime than traditional America. Many good comments here nothing to add but may God have mercy on us. We seem to have a system that has malfunctioned with three tiers that wound up aiding each other instead of safeguarding the Constitution, the Bill Of Rights, and the people of this country. The built in safeguards were never meant to all agree at once. The bill was setting somewhere collecting dust, in my opinion, having missed its chance or perhaps after having been drafted around the time of the OKC bombing. I do not trust anyone in office right now. The Democrats have spoken out against bills like this, but in truth only one senator voted against it. The only Senator to have actually read the bill before voting. He died in one of those convenient small plane crashes. BHO serves the same masters as all the political elitists do. He just has a different handler. The struggle has to look realistic to the people. As Frank Zappa once said, "Politics is the entertainment division of industry." Do not get me wrong, I am not an occupier nor am I a Tea Party member. I am just a guy who wants my constitutional republic back. The tea party should have gone 3rd party if they wanted change. 100 3rd party constitutionalists may have made a parliamentary difference in congress, but 100 acquiesced Republicans who got in under the tea party mantra is just more of the same. I walked into the drug store this morning and there was a conversation between the clerk and a customer where the clerk was trying to explain the truth of what is going on to the customer. Consequently, I joined the talk for a few minutes. The customer had been prepped by the lies of the media and the Obama machine....rich against poor. Denied anything we said to him about the reality of what is going on because "He heard it on the news!" The news media has failed miserably to tell the truth and to report unbiased facts. People are listening, alright, but not to the right people. Marxist programming and propaganda is everywhere. I don't think the lies can be undone unless we stand up now and get the truth out there. I wonder how surprised we'll be when they discover emanations from penumbras to get rid of those of us who protest? As we argue about Education, Abortion, Wars, and Energy our country is being cannibalized by our traitorous elected officials. What will join Americans together if the voting and signing of the NDAA doesn't? I'm afraid we have fallen off the cliff and all Patriotic Americans can do now is say a prayer before we hit the ground. Even Allan West and Rubio jump on board with this sabotage. From my reading we can even get Rubio or West recalled in Florida until the next election. As the attention of most Americans was captivated by the shiny object in Times Square this weekend like infants fixated on car keys dangled in front of them, Barack Hussein Obama signed into law H.R. 1540, better known as the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). Regardless of any concurrent executive signing statements that are mere window dressing and not legally binding, Obama and every member of congress who crafted and voted for this act has essentially declared war on American citizens on U.S. soil.
