He needs a better speech writer. This event deserved something along the lines of "In Flanders Fields" or "Gettysburg Address"

It's not to that level.

That's not to say what is says is wrong. Just that in five years no one will remember it and no one will ever know it was said.

(There's an essay about the Gettysberg Address by Carl Sandburg that is fascinating. Did you know that most of the reporters had left before Lincoln began to speak? They were more interested in the other speaker.)
