Mr. Lamb....once again, you have produced a very relevant, pithy, exposure of the Federal Govt's. and U.N. collectivist Agendas.
You may already be well aware that The Feds, under one Bureaucratic agency or another, control approximately 80% of the lands within the State of Alaska, my home.
Years ago, former Governor and former U.S. Interior Dept Secretary, Wally Hickel, routinely and harshly castigated the Federal Gov. and its agencies for reneging on the Pact between the Feds. and the State (under which Alaska became the 49th State). He even wrote a small book pointing out the many and varied unilateral abuses of that compact committed by both congress and former presidents.
Among his complaints was that the Federal Government had refused to return lands to the State as it promised it would.
Hickel once again became Governor of the State of Alaska during the '90s I believe....at that time, he filed several lawsuits against the Feds to force them to obey the terms of the Pact.
One of those lawsuits...I believe it was the one claiming that the Feds had no right to intervene in the State's right to determine who shall have first access to fish and game during shortages (non-availability)of wildlife resources; was dismissed in Federal Court (with prejudice), by the following Governor, Uber-Liberal-Collectivist, Tony Knowles. It commonly became known as the native subsistence preference issue that the Feds won by default because of Knowles
Perhaps Gov. Hickel was unaware of provisions by which Utah and other States are demanding an immediate return/restoration of their lands, I do not know.
However, I will be sending a copy of this Article, and its comments to our current Governor, Sean Parnell, to advise him of what is afoot with our southern neighbors, if he is not already aware of the 'Resistance'.
I have been hoping for the re-birth of The Sagebrush Rebellion since I first learned of it in 1982.
Thanks so much for your article.

it's about time we the governments cattle stop the government in its tracks by arresting politicians that violate the constitution as it is written not as how they think it says. we the people need to take back our nation by taking back control of our elected officials. violate the constitution go to jail. it's that simple we the people need to slap the face of government and tell them the bull stops now. they are not there to control us. one sure fire way to regain control is by putting politicians in jail that try and play government knows best. they need to be worried about being jailed for violating our rights and our constitution. they all need to be arrested when they step off the plane at home. it is time for us to take back whats been stolen from us.

Excellent observations, Henry, the government is in effort to own us like cattle, a heads up as well; Warren Buffet has a tax scam to break the middle class planned! New banker bailout to be funded by giant tax hikes.
In a video, it breaks down how billionaires like Warren Buffett are the biggest beneficiaries of the “rule” they are now forcing through Congress. The net effect? Stealing the expanded tax revenue via banker bailouts and shutting down the middle class to eliminate competition for the big boys.
The same criminal mega banks that pulled off the banker bailout heist are set to run an even bigger scam. Billionaire scammer Warren Buffett was the biggest beneficiary of taxpayer money stolen in the bailout now he wants more. Please get this report out to everyone via Facebook, twitter, and every other media system. Together we can expose this fraud for what it is a mafia driven crony capitalism takeover! This is hidden in front of our faces; get this report out to talk radio as well. An article is at infowars.com

Good points. I have been fighting this issue most of my life. What most people have forgotten is that “federal” authority is of an international law character. All “federal” land holding is considered a “world” resource consistent with the Law of the Sea. No individual nation can claim ownership of a “world” resource which belongs to all nations of the Earth. On the High Seas, all nations, races, colors, and creeds are considered equal (communism), individual national distinctions are not recognized.

Internal national interests are represented by State governments. The US lands held by the “federal” government are held only in a “proprietary” capacity”. We are just care takers of a world resource that belongs equally to all nations of the Earth. In the early '80s, a group exerting UN authority actually took over Yellowstone Park for a week, claiming a “world” right to occupy it.

The US Constitution enumerates federal powers; it determines for what purposes the federal government may own land. State statutes determine for what purposes States may cede land to the federal government. In my State, there are 13 of these purposes, they must be certified by a Certificate of the Governor and posted in the Secretary of State's office. When ceded land is no longer used for the purposes ceded, it re-cedes back to the State.

Fundamental changes have been made to our form of government. The 14th and 17th Amendments have reversed the principal-agent relationship between the People and government and between the States and the federal government. The 17th Amendment provided that Senators are no longer appointed by the States (the State's veto power over their hired help in Congress) but are now elected by popular vote. The consequences of the 17th Amendment is that Congress (an international law authority) is no longer responsible to the States, their former “master”. It is now only restrained by its own uninhibited passions.

The Law of the Sea that our Founders rebelled against and fought a Revolution to expel from the land is back again in full force. Our participation in the UN Charter sealed our doom to international interests.

Henry, We already beat them in the courts once, and we can do it again IF We the People will stand up and INSIST that DC will follow the Constitution.
THEY (DC) claim that all treaties supersede the Constitution because in the Constitution it so states. The reason that clause was put in the Constitution was because various States had contracts (treaties) with other nations and they could not join the Union and abrogate those contracts. All treaties following the acceptance of the Constitution are contingent on their respecting the limits on those contracts as specified in the Constitution.
Their agreement that all treaties supersede the Constitution are so ridiculous that you would think some third grader came up with that. Do they think that the founders were as stupid as they are?

Who owns the West?

The federal government claims ownership of most of the western states. Why?

It’s a fair question. The federal government claims ownership of most of the western states. Why?
