CommentsDaniel,Oprah and her guru proclaim exactly what the serpent said to Eve in Eden. She did not endorse Obama, but anointed him from the dark side. Obama is now the spokesman for the Cainite Moronocracy. He and the rest do not believe that they are intelligently designed, but rather are the chance progeny of worms and reptiles. In their minds, it makes them "intelligent" to believe that. Keep up the good work. Posted by Bob J. on 04/19 at 02:09 PM | # Yes, this IS a very good article and articulates very well what is wrong with our country and just HOW someone like Obama could have gotten "elected" into the highest office in the land. The question is, will enough people WAKE UP to remedy the situation and finally oust this bunch of phony, evil predators who wish to destroy our culture and entire way of life? And if they DO wake up, how will they go about putting a stop to it and reversing the destructive path we are now on? Because as far as I can see, the usual peaceful methods just won't cut it. It is FAR too late for that. These people will NOT leave peacefully NOR easily be dislodged from their positions of power. And does anyone really believe that an election will do the trick? Our elections are undoubtedly as rigged and as crooked as in any third world country, the tallies now apparently to be done by some foreign company in Spain? The enemy within gets more emboldened by the day. Posted by TalkingMonkeyNOT on 04/18 at 08:03 PM | # This is the most profound analysis of Obama and of the state of the nation that I have read. And fearfully so. God Bless. Posted by S. Schaefer on 04/18 at 12:38 PM | # Excellent Article!! The last paragraph is especially right on. These egotistical 'media giants' like Oprah use their money and prestige to influence the masses with the 'feel good' religion and the importance of "ME". I pray the American people will one day see through this sham. Posted by Nancy on 04/18 at 12:37 PM | # Oprahism and the Church of ObamaPosted by Daniel Greenfield on Apr 18, 2012 at 02:10 PM
If Oprah offered fast-food meaning on television, Obama offered fast-food solutions in politics Many people have noted that Obama’s rhetoric often feels off, but fewer have looked into why that is so. A great part of Obama’s success has been his ability to invoke values detached from belief systems. To break away symbols and ideals from religious and national value systems, and mix and match them into his own soundbites. Like the famous Hope poster, that mixed patriotic color schemes with socialist realism, or Obama’s own logo, which mixed corporate branding with national politics—Obama’s “brand” was built out of a barely coherent mishmash of clashing elements. The only thing they all have in common is that they are bricks in the wall of Obama’s image. They all combine together to promote him.
