Thanks, Lynda, that was very good.
You're 100% correct, Alan. It's become plainer that the US gov't. is rotten with collectivists.
Collectivists are that assortment of leftists who seek to establish "equality" by throwing out the window the Constitution and all our individual rights along with it. "Environmental Justice" is exactly that. So is "social Justice", and any other fill-in-the-blank "justice".
Of course, the collectivists in charge will always be "more equal" than others. They will always acquire a much larger share of their neighbor's goods.
Yes, they're so "smart" that they don't any Commandments. They can just make up their own, and disregard those, if they so choose.
That's why their Big Government Worker's Paradise can't work- because the people who run it can't run it. Obama and company are a good example.
I think they're all just a criminal enterprise with a self-glorified name.

“This is less about security and far more about authoritarian control.”
No truer words have ever been spoken … but how to wake people up to this fact?

Since you brought it up, let me begin with driver’s licenses. As the number of motor vehicles grew so did the POWER OF THE GOVERNMENT. They began authorizing vehicles and drivers beginning with NY in 1901, which grew to all states requiring license plates by 1918. In 1927 Massachusetts led the way with the first mandatory liability auto insurance. 39 of the 48 states required driver’s licenses by 1935. Many states now force “driver education” classes, as opposed to being taught to drive by a parent etc., via monetary discounts on insurance coverage – which also went from being a good idea to becoming mandatory. Then we had the K.I.S.S. (kids in safety seats) revolution. Reagan’s Dept. of Transportation began the nationwide call for mandatory use of seatbelts and today only NH does not require seatbelt use for those over 18 – although that age was arrived at by incremental increases in age. Today, some states will take your children from you if you dare smoke a cigarette with a kid in the car.

They can use all the propaganda they want, but most of this has little to do with “safety” and the new mantra, “saving lives” than it does with authoritarian control and revenue. And please … no lectures on the inerrant value of some of these laws. I’m simply pointing these things out to show how we got from point A, a free people, to point B, controlled masses. Where was the outrage and the uprising at these blatant acts of enslavement? “WE” allowed it and only now are we waking up to what has happened to our freedom.

We have not seen anything yet…just wait until government mandated “healthcare” goes into full effect. Every action you take and every morsel you put in your mouth will be monitored and punished. Bank on it!

Forget Homeland Security, Now It’s About “Environmental Justice”

Posted by Alan Caruba on Apr 28, 2012 at 07:58 PM

Welcome to the Soviet Union of America or the National Socialist States of America

It is the nature of any government to seek to expand its authority. The Founding Fathers knew this and gifted Americans with a Constitution that limits authority devolving it to the states and to “the people.” Read the Tenth Amendment. It isn’t working.

The freedoms they sought to establish and preserve for future generations are being eaten away and we tend only to hear about in individual cases when, in fact, it is so widespread we accept the injustices, the inefficiencies, and the enslavement in increments.
