Good day to you.

My name is Mike Krajewski, I'm a Polish-Canadian residing here in Southern Ontario, I am a Confederate reenactor in the 10th Louisiana Co. C Infantry Regiment and a huge history buff of The War of Southern Independence.

I wish to thank you for, as always, your excellent work and for posting Mr. Johnson's recent article about Confederate General Forrest. His life and accomplishments should serve as as an example to all living today.

I appreciate the fact that you carry Mr. Johnson's writings within your paper and expose Canadians, both young and old, to historically accurate information composed by fine and well educated individuals such as Mr. Johnson.

I've been reading his articles for a long time and thought it was about time now for me to send you wonderful folks my compliments and warmest salutations regarding your alliance with Mr. Johnson.

Much Obliged.

Deo Vindice, Confederate Mike.

General Nathan Bedford Forrest.

It should be also noted that after the War Between the States, Bedford Forrest returned home with the ‘free’ black men who fought with him. Sixty-five black troopers were with the General when he surrendered his command in May 1865. Forrest said of these black soldiers, “No finer Confederates ever fought.”
