CommentsI remember reading about a NY Times reporter speaking at a convention of journalists in 1922 indicting them all of being merely “intellectual prostitutes” out of fear of losing their jobs if they do not “report” what their bosses want propagandized. This also reminds me of the “German Union” which followed the Illuminati after it was outlawed by the Bavarian government in 1785. It merely surfaced as a cartel of publishers who censored out any opposing viewpoints in books and plays, which was the only means of communication in that day. The present day “media” follows this pattern to the letter. Look who sits on their board of directors, they are all the same establishment elite. We all know we are in a social realm of “political correctness” which was spawned by the Marxist “Frankfurt School” which set up shop in Columbia University (and infected our entire university system from there) after it was run out of Germany by Adolph Hitler (the 1 thing he did right). Political correctness, which has replaced “factual” correctness, is a cursory illusion exerted upon truth to censor it from any meaningful discussion. It is the equivalent to “Admiring the Emperor’s New Clothes”, the very mention of the term should be an insult to the intelligence of anyone who has any intelligence to insult. It is the code word antithesis of Americanism. In my opinion, the main stream media has now lost all of its credibility and reduced itself to nothing more than a tabloid smut entertainment institution. From then on, I don't watch any news unless I'm looking for an immediate weather forecast. Even then, when they indicate a 50-70% chance of rain, I give them more like a 5% and am usually right. Then they think they can predict 50 years into the future.... When you see the newscaster reporting on the same story for more than 2 days, you know it's a bogus story with an agenda...... Hypocrisy, tyranny, totalitarian, elitist, narcissistic, and moronic would fit them better. Ignoring completely is the best response and contacting Congress for the ala Carte or cafeteria plan programming for cable and satellite services, so we can pick and choose which channels we support and stop funding those we don’t. The ABC News product increasingly ceases to be journalism. It is sensationalism. It is reprehensible. It’s time to let ABC News feel the sting of public disapproval I joined the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) in April 1979, thirty-three years ago. The preamble to its Code of Ethics says, “Professional integrity is the cornerstone of a journalist’s credibility” and that journalists should “test the accuracy of information from all sources and exercise care to avoid inadvertent errors.” More...Post a Comment on: The ABC’s of Journalism’s Eroding IntegrityCommenting is not available in this channel entry.
