CommentsThe Constitution has been a “sore in the side” for Progressives for many years. Even the “Supreme” (there is ONE Supreme Court, and they are not it) court has clearly stated that if a law is repugnant to the Constitution it is null and void. Where do those “great leaders” find in the Constitution anything which allows them to set up these environmentally protected areas? To circumvent the provisions of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution they have stretched the intent of the commerce clause so far that is is now so "thin" you can read a newspaper through it.If a State has in their Constitution a provision to set up environmentally protected areas, that is their right to do so, but that does not automatically therefore become an area under Federal control. “Progressives” have used OUR contract with the other States for our mutual protection as if it were some news paper article. NO! It is a CONTRACT and a contract can not be changed without the written consent of all parties to that contract. How the “Progressives” love to ignore that and they cost us millions in the courts to prove to them “thou shall not”, and now we have individuals on the bench who have not so much as a clue as to the provisions of the Constitution. The path back to Constitutional government will be a long and difficult path, but IF WE SO NOT INSIST that DC quits violating OUR contract, then we can kiss freedom goodbye. There IS a Supreme Court and we need to plead our case before Him and ask for His guidance and assistance. It is time for them to make it ultimately clear the Govt of the USA as instituted by the Ratification by the People of the USA Constitution has no room in it for absurd little psycho monkeys trying to run oligarchies of utter destruction on the taxpayers' dollar. Those people can block off the Feds from the area while the people - CITIZENS - go out there with all the equipment they need and get their repairs made - and tell the Feds to go to Hades toot sweet. AND PRONTO! What California Central Valley should have done. Posted by Rose Spice on 05/16 at 03:30 PM | # Thanks for your timely article. In the land of what used to be the free --America-- we have been duped by this group of people that profess to be Americans who are about to destroy freedom . We, however, are slow to awake, but the 9-11 group, tea party, and others are leading our way to daylight and will eventually prevail. The thought that a Canadian newspaper to point this out when our own (bought and paid for by our government) won't shows us all how deep the corruption goes. This is the new world order and it will affect us all. Freedom loving brothers and sisters unite. The time is short. Posted by Bud L. on 05/16 at 02:50 PM | # Good column, Doctor! It occurs to me at least, that things were just going too good in this world. The Colonials had civilized Africa and started to bring prosperity to it; America was bringing freedom-based prosperity to a whole new level - the world was probably in the best shape it's ever been in. Then along come some traveling salesmen peddling new ideas. "Hey! Let's take control of the world and bet rich and powerful!" "How you gonna do that?" "I have a great idea. We'll tell them we're gonna improve the world for them!" The first time that happened the salesman was a snake and the sucker was Eve, plus Adam. The Town too Tough to Die, Tombstone, Arizona, “The Powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the People.” (Tenth Amendment) While the people of Tombstone, Arizona are waiting to get water back on line, the federal government is asking them for $80,000 in order to tell them why they cannot have it back unless they use only simple tools to do it with, like hand tools and wheelbarrows. Boulders the size of Volkswagens are trapping the waterlines, buried in some places under 12 ft of mud.
