CommentsYou clearly have zero idea what socialism entails.I am a socialist, and Obama is 0% socialistic. Socialism strives to create a society based on collective ownership of the means of production and abolish wage labour. Does Obama want this? No. Not one bit. Obama wants private property regulated by the state. This is not socialism at all. All socialists oppose Obama, except some opportunistic socialists who support him as "the lesser evil". But no socialist thinks Obama is a socialist. Posted by Justsayin on 04/06 at 01:50 PM | #\ -------------------------------------------------------------------------- THEN, DO YOU THINK HE IS A COMMUNIST? AND DO YOU BELIEVE THAT SOCIALISM IS PART OF COMMUNISM? Posted by MOONGLO on 04/07 at 03:38 PM | # Socialism is an economic or governmental system in which the public, or the state, owns or runs important industries. Its goal is to have the industries make money which can be used for the benefit of everyone. It wants to give workers some control over their work places. When economic planning is applied extensively, it is referred to as "communism", although communism as used by Karl Marx had a different meaning originally. Social Democracy is a form of socialism that tries to mix parts of socialism with capitalism. Much of the time the people, when social democracy is practiced as a form of government, collectively (as a group) contribute money or other goods for the benefit of the entire community. An example of this would be America's fire departments, which rely on taxes paid by the people to maintain equipment and staff for the benefit of the community, should something catch on fire. Some social democratic countries have a higher income tax for people with high incomes, called a "progressive tax". This tax, and other measures, helps to reduce the gap between rich and poor within a nation. In many countries that practice social democracy, industries are subsidized and/or partially controlled by the government. For example, education, health care or public transportation are some industries that might be owned/maintained by the government or people in a socialist system. For the most part, people working in these industries are paid by the government, with money paid by the people as taxes. Another kind of Socialism is "Collectivization." In this system, money and goods are shared more equally among the people, with the government in control. In theory, this system results in the divide between classes shrinking, with the poorest of a nation's people getting better looked after while the richest make sacrifices in terms of higher taxes and regulation of business. Of course, socialism as it is commonly practiced differs in many ways from communism (See "The History of Socialism and Communism", later in the article.) Today, many democratic socialists, especially in Western Europe, want industries to be guided jointly (together) by representatives of shareholders as well as the workers working together in what is known as an industrial democracy because both groups have interests in the success of the enterprise. This would be a more direct democratic way of organizing rather than control by central government. Trade unions and/or workers councils would represent the interests of the employees. Threats against members of Congress, the courts, the media, etc. also keep people from taking any steps to charge Obama with them. http://www.coachisright.com/media-threatened-with-federal-investigations-if-obama-birth-certificate-story-reported/ Individuals and member organizations of the American media were threatened with FTC and FCC investigation if information gathered by Sheriff Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse concerning the forgery of Barack Obama’s long form birth certificate were reported to the U.S. public. Posted by Justsayin on 04/06 at 02:50 PM | # J.D., Most people in america will definitely skirt around the truth even when it is staring them right in the face. Also most americans have very short memories of something involves someone other than themselves. Specifically: barack obama Most people want to see the good in people so bad that they will overlook some of the bad simply due to the personality of a person. It is kinda like the little housewife that just sweeps the dust under the living room carpet to keep from picking it up I am, in a way, kinda like you. I can just know in my mind that certain thing will happen in the future but cannot say exactly what it is except that i can know if its weather related or traffic related or world event. And right now i can, all thru my body and mind, I see a big shakeup in the united states government but i cannot say when except lets just say in the near future. Of course you are right on about Obama and his agenda. Actually he should have been brought up on impeachment charges way before now as he has committed many impeachable acts since taking office. This has not happened because he has too many friends and backers in congress and the senate that backs his agenda and wants the same as he does. Our government is corrupt like a computer virus and needs an anti-virus to clean it up. Let's hope that the next election the good people of america will act as an anti-virus. Posted by moonglo on 04/06 at 02:10 PM | # Very well said! I concur, only part you left out, is like a good commie, he began his political life with deception about who he really is. And that was just the beginning. He, and those who put him into power, have perpetrated the greatest fraud ever in the history of the USA by ascending to the office of presidency - because he is not a US citizen. We know that because citizens don't have to put out forged documents to make it appear that they are legit!
