Commentsaposematic. Thank you for the explanation of Mitt's balanced budget. You know both Newt and Rick Perry got hammered because they referred to Mitt as a Vulture capitalist. It went on forever but they were right. What is the definition of a Vulture, feeding off of victims. Your explanation about what happened in my home state is just one moreexample of MItt's LIES. RomneyCare wasn't for the betterment of the state budget, it was to keep 385 million of Medicaid dollars in state, using as Jonathan Gruber, author of both RomneyCare and ObamaCare said, a fraudlent provision within Medicaid, "provider tax." In order to be a 'provider' to keep the money, the State had to createa bogus health issue, RomneyCare. Homosexual marriage is still NOT legal in Mass. The Rogue Supremes did ORDER the State legislature in I believe 2002 to enact same sex marriage contrary to the existing law and the State Constitution. It's neither been repealed nor the Constitution amended, yet Mitt and his administration issued one day certificates that would enable couples homo and hetero to be married by a person of their choice. He did issue legally over 1000 I believe to hetero couples and close to 1000 to homo couples. So when Barney gets married, he still AIN'T legal. The Shape Shifter we call Mitt Romney did that to fulfill his pandering promise to the Log Cabin Republicans. Here are a few of the other sites I monitor. freedomsphoenix.com/ patriotactionnetwork.com campaignforliberty.org/ foramerica.org/home govtrack.us/ numbersusa.com/content/ federalist.com/ townhall.com/ conservativebyte.com/ newswithviews.com/ Posted by JohnMinn on 01/31 at 10:31 AM | # Pastor Bickel -- Are you familiar with www.Lucianne.com? Her readers forward news stories to her site constantly so you can read articles from multiple news publications throughout the day. Lucianne is a journalist and also the mother of another distinguished writer, Jonah Goldberg. BigGovernment.com and BreitbartTV.com are very good -- written and owned by Andrew Breitbart. An example of the propaganda of which you explain: On another site I posted a comment asking anyone that could/would to come up with one thing Romney did as Gov. of MA that could be considered Conservative for every ten things Romney did as Gov. of MA that could be considered European Socialism. The main answer I received was that Romney balanced a budget. (Romney did claim a balanced budget one year.) Here is where the propaganda takes over the thinking, i.e. a balanced budget = Conservative. Well Romney's claimed balanced budget was anything but Conservative. Romney increased fees--directed taxes--on his States peoples allowing him to increase revenues by stealing more of his peoples' wealth and claim a balanced budget. Thus, Romney's balanced budget was the opposite of Conservatism; if fact it is just another of the many European Socialist actions Romney made while Gov. of MA. Thus propaganda has influenced these some to equate balanced budget equals Conservatism irrespective of the means to that end. If people who had worked with Romney over the years at Bain or the Olympics or in his church were coming out with similar concerns I somehow doubt the reaction would be the same. Are you suggesting their voices should be stifled or that they should take turns in an orderly fashion so as not to 'dump' on Newt? And as for your characterization of Romney as the most progressive candidate in the race, all I can say is look again. Newt Gingrich is a man so utterly un-anchored in any sort of truth-based personal philosophy that he whores after every thought and whim that happens to occur in his overactive imagination. He says the race should be about big ideas. I have news for him and for anyone else of the same mind. The best ideas that have ever occurred to man regarding self governance, liberty and the proper use of and balance of power in society are already contained in our founding documents. These documents and other writers of the founders contain wisdom founded on eternal truths. There is nothing Newt, a man who has shown himself to not be restrained by such 'outdated eternal trivia', can add. It is the progressive mindset that lacks grounding in truth and is therefore constantly attempting to create a 'new' reality based on the 'wisdom' of man. He is a republican progressive. His fruits betray him. In contrast, Mitt Romney has repeatedly expressed his love and appreciation for the Declaration and Constitution and has made as a central theme of his campaign a restoration of constitutional government. We don't need new ideas, we need a new respect for the old ones. Also in contrast is his deep knowledge of eternal truths and his willingness to govern his life accordingly. He is well grounded and displays a humility not often seen in one running for any office, much less the presidency. Between these two men there is a stark contrast in personal as well as political philosophy. For me it's an easy choice. Thank you for you informative article on propaganda. I don't think the average person is aware of the tremendous role it plays in our lives, and that at our own peril. I would add that if anyone is guilty of mauling Gingrich's history it's his worst enemy...himself. Do your homework, know who the incumbents are, next, do research on all of the candidates and conclude which one is best for the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and to represent your feelings or desires. THE ESTABLISHMENT IS THE PROBLEM, THEY DO NOT WANT ANYONE WHO MIGHT UPSET THEIR "sugar teat". Posted by WayneTex on 01/30 at 03:17 AM | # Nice informational commentary! Drudge has disgusted me, so much so, that I've decided to boycott his site. I'm looking for a non biased news site which posts "news" as fast as Drudge's - news, not propaganda hardened commentary titles. Anybody have a suggestion? Nathan Bickel - thechristianmessagedotorg Posted by Pastor emeritus Nathan Bickel on 01/30 at 01:38 AM | # I enjoyed your article, Kelly. I always keep in mind that both Romney and Gingrich are members of the Counsel on Foreign Relations. I've seen their names on the membership list. That tells us that both of them are globalists and are unlikely to take all the actions that we want, so we should not set ourselves up for a big disappointment. I think Gingrich has more ability to communicate with us, and that's something that has been missing since Reagan left. I will, however, vote for whichever one is the GOP candidate as a vote to defeat Obama. I see it as a vote for our nation. . Can America Survive the Dark Sophistry of Spiritually Diseased GOP Leftists?
Such propaganda campaigns are not unknown in politics, but are rare in healthy democracies. That such a firebombing maneuver is being waged within the GOP against a viable member in order to transparently benefit Mitt Romney—the most progressive candidate—cannot possibly bode well for the future state of the party or of our union as a whole.
