The president’s leap over common sense and straight to lunacy

In some convoluted logic, the president seems to feel that because my employees drive to work on the roads, then the government has helped me build my business. That is a leap over common sense straight to lunacy.

I feel quite sure those folks were driving on the roads before they went on my payroll and the taxes on the gasoline they bought helped pay for the roads. I’m having trouble buying the idea that having roads has assisted my business anymore than having my business has contributed to the coffers that build and maintain roads.

Yes, we live in a world where everyone in interconnected but, for those of you who may not be aware:

Here is a list of taxes and fees paid by businesses; Real Estate taxes and all the fees listed on the tax bill; income tax, state and federal unemployment taxes;  occupational license, state license and intangible tax.

Then there are those taxes and fees specific to the business.

I wonder what kind of government services we could expect without the income from businesses? And how much would individual taxes increase? Just something to think about.
