Re “Burka-and-booze story could happen anywhere.” July, 24):

Third World Immigrants

Seeing that Muslims don’t drink alcohol, and anyone entitled to wear a burka wouldn’t be found dead in a liquor or beer store, the LCBO clerks should have told their burka-clad customers to get lost.  But who can blame the clerks for not wanting to be hauled before the “politically correct tribunal.”

Incidentally, how does a burka-wearing woman get a passport in the first place? Furthermore, shouldn’t potential immigrants from the third World be made aware of what is and what is not acceptable in Canada before they are given the green light to come here?
