The Senate Judiciary Committee approved the Gang of Eight’s immigration bill on Tuesday. It will go to the Senate floor after the Memorial Day recess. Heritage has pointed out the problems with this “comprehensive” approach — including the staggering costs of amnesty and a failure to secure the border.

Recent revelations showing the IRS targeted conservative groups applying for tax exemptions are “absolutely unacceptable and inexcusable.” This was Deputy Treasury Secretary Neal Wollin’s statement on 5-22-2013. Wollin said Treasury officials purposefully kept themselves out of the daily affairs at the IRS (Internal Revenue Service). “Treasury’s longstanding practice - spanning Republican and Democratic administrations - is not to involve itself in the details of the IRS’s administration and enforcement of the nation’s tax law. It is critical that the nation’s tax laws are administered and enforced in a way that neither involves political influence, nor the perception of political influence.”

With unrelenting determination, we should help fellow citizens understand why the concept of “one nation under God” is essential to preserving America. At an ever accelerating pace, we are tolerating one set of rules for “ordinary” citizens and a separate set of rules for “elite officials” intent on lording over the ordinary. If allowed to continue, these double standards will be the demise of our republic. America is based on a total rejection of the British caste system that respected heredity and rewarded royalty.
{paginate} {/paginate} Benghazi scandal: don’t let Melanin trump national securityBy Lloyd Marcus Thursday, May 23, 2013
Patriots, I got this horrible feeling watching the MSM on the cable news TV shows playing down the Obama scandals. I thought, does Obama being liberal and “black” trump any and everything? Will the MSM continue to side with him no matter what? Will all of the lies, corruption, betrayals and probable criminal activity simply roll off the Obama Administration’s back like water off a duck? Will Obama and company get away with it all?

When you hear the phrase “witch hunt” propagandists have conditioned you to make an association with “McCarthyism” a period of time when it shrieked about clearing people loyal to the Soviet Union out of government positions. Various government departments harbored traitors such as the Rosenbergs and Hiss but the nexus was at State. With the aid of the left, McCarthyism- - inaccurately- - has come to mean accusations against innocent people and smearing them in public. But to put “McCarthyism” in perspective, the word itself was coined by the KGB in Moscow and first used in The Daily Worker, the communist party’s newspaper. The campaign against “McCarthyism”was initiated by Gus Hall in 1950 at a special session of the National Committee of the Communist Party and endorsed by Stalin himself in 1952. (Budenz, The Bolshevik Invasion of the West,124) Why? There was one simple reason: McCarthy’s exposures were gaining traction with the public and the left needed to shut him down.
{paginate} {/paginate} Obama team not exactly going all out to capture Benghazi attackersBy Dan Calabrese Wednesday, May 22, 2013
Far from their insistence that they are pulling out all the stops to capture the Benghazi attackers, Fox News sources say they’re actually dragging their feet because they are determined to try the attackers in civilian courts, and they don’t have enough evidence as of now to get a conviction.
{paginate} {/paginate} Don’t be fooled: So-called shrinking deficit means nothingBy Dan Calabrese Wednesday, May 22, 2013
The Washington political class is mired in a troika of scandals, but they are pretty excited at the moment about one thing. The federal budget deficit, which has exceeded $1 trillion every year of Barack Obama’s presidency, is now said to be “rapidly declining” and is projected by the none-too-prescient Congressional Budget Office to end up this year at “only” $675 billion.

Moore, Oklahoma, is in the middle of Tornado Alley, a region noted for its annual production of strong thunderstorms and storms spawning tornadoes. As surely as annual blooms sprout like clockwork, storms erupt with immense fury. The storms shred lives and families to broken shards of what they once innocently were.

The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration reports that Internal Revenue Service employees began using “inappropriate criteria” in 2010 when considering the applications of Tea Party organizations for 501(c)(4) tax exempt status. This included subjecting groups with “Tea Party,” “Patriots,” or “9/12” in their titles to such “unnecessary information requests” as the political affiliations of the groups’ officers and employment information.

Republicans are getting tripped up by the media when challenged about evidence of President Obama’s personal involvement in the IRS scandal. Rep. Dave Camp of Michigan, who chairs the House committee looking into the IRS, “admitted there was no evidence” linking Obama to the IRS scandal, as MSNBC described his appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” Camp said, “We don’t have anything to say that the President knew about it.” Michael O’Brien, a political reporter for NBC News, said both Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell and Rep. Dave Camp “admitted they lacked evidence that the targeting of conservatives was ordered by the White House.”
