Hit the Road Barack: Why We Need a New President

Liberal Magazine Newsweek Finds Truth Too Late

Talk about getting knocked over by a powder puff; well I just surpassed that when I saw the cover of Newsweek for Sunday, 19 August 2012 online at Newsmax.com on August 20, 2012. This once profitable weekly news magazine is such a lightweight these days that it resembles more the feather of a baby hummingbird than a powder puff.
These are mysterious times which cultivate unnatural events. Who 'would'a thunk' that the far-left Newsweek and much less, the even farther left Daily Beast, now merged into one big leftist-loving entity, would suddenly put on the left brake and step on the right rudder? Leftist economics can create strange bed-fellows it seems. The Newsweek cover mentioned above had a photo of the leftist leader of the liberal Democratic Party, one Barack Hussein Obama, with a caption, "Hit the Road Barack: Why We Need a New President" as written by Newsweek, "esteemed British historian Niall Ferguson." In the cover story, written by Ferguson, he states, "In his inaugural address, Obama promised 'not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth'"; also, "he promised to 'build the roads and bridges, the electric grids, and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together.' He promised to 'restore science to its rightful place and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost."

This was back in the days when pundits of Ferguson's stature were gulping with glee for any drop of the 'messiah's' cup of kool aid; when any hint of largesse that would be forthcoming to his avid followers would be given front page fawning attention. Now, however, after nearly four years of verbal gymnastics, confused metaphors, verbal obfuscation, and yes, outright lies from this man who was quick with the quip, but slow with the flow, the numbers of his followers are diminishing.

Unfortunately the president's scorecard on every single one of those bold pledges is pitiful

The dishonesty and verbal razzle-dazzle only holds the attention of people with common sense for a limited period of time and as Ferguson admits, "he promised to 'transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.' Unfortunately the president's scorecard on every single one of those bold pledges is pitiful." Did you catch that? What did Ferguson say?, "Unfortunately the president's scorecard on every single one of those bold pledges is pitiful." Could the Prevaricator in Chief's integrity be slipping; could his numbed followers be coming to their senses. Or is it that his best alibis, - placing all blame on George W. Bush or the Republicans in Congress for his ineptness and failure to deliver, are souring with the public? Didn't Obama promise a "Change You Can Believe In"? What actually did he mean by that statement? Truthfully, there hasn't been much of anything to "believe in" that comes out of that man's mouth, which is the reason why now he is losing so many of his supporters. Didn't he say while campaigning that he was the "One" who could fix all of our problems; and do it without creating economical problems to the public without higher taxes and better services? How's that promise working out for you? He said he would do better than George Bush and now when it has been proved that he is doing worse, he's blaming it on George Bush. What a phony. I stated in an earlier paragraph above that Newsweek was a very far left publication and it is true. This magazine was considered a place where truth is often buried along with the double-talk and rhetoric of confusion in modern day liberal politics. Even Newsmax.com, the presenter of this story about the Newsweek cover, had this to say in their presentation of the story:
"In all, it's an uncharacteristically conservative piece for the magazine, which previously has had cover stories celebrating Obama as "the first gay president" for his stand on gay marriage, and has offered lengthy defenses for another four years. Since Tina Brown's Daily Beast took over Newsweek, which recently said it will soon cease print publication, the magazine has been one of the most left-leaning publications in the country."
Do you still want to believe in and place your trust in giving Obama another four years of fatuous nothing-ness and higher taxes, more unsolved problems, deeper national debts, redistribution of wealth? In other words - in socialistic Marxism?
