“The July 20 issue of the New Yorker magazine got a lot of attention for its cover, which carried a “satirical” cartoon depicting Michelle and Barack Obama that Obama supporters found tasteless and offensive. “The article reprised a piece published in Chicago’s Hyde Park Herald on Sept. 19, 2001, and written by a then-unknown and otherwise undistinguished state senator from Illinois. The senator, a former community organizer, wrote that after tightening security at our airports and repairing our intelligence networks, we “must also engage...in the more difficult task of understanding the sources of such madness.” “According to Barack Obama, the madness that drove terrorists to turn passenger jets into manned cruise missiles aimed at our centers of finance, government and military power “grows out of a climate of power and ignorance, helplessness and despair”. “As if the answer to the attacks should have been food stamps for al-Qaida. “Senator Obama advised caution and warned of overreacting. “We will have to make sure, despite our rage, that any U.S. military action takes into account the lives of innocent civilians abroad,” he wrote. “We will have to be unwavering in opposing bigotry or discrimination directed against neighbors and friends of Middle East descent.”Nowhere on any campaign literature did Senator John McCain running for president ever call Obama out on his words about 9/11. It is likely that had it not been for New Yorker magazine and Investor’s Business Daily the words written about 9/11 in 2001 by Obama would have been lost in time. Seven years after writing those words, the man who should never be commander in chief was elected President of the United States of America. In the four years since he’s been at the White House, he’s worked to gut the U.S. military, allowing his United States Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano to officially categorize returning decorated war veterans as number one on the Domestic Terrorist suspect list. Obama policy has legislated rules of engagement aimed at keeping America from winning in both Afghanistan and Iraq. Every flag-draped coffin returned to heartbroken loved ones can be blamed on Barack Hussein Obama. During the 2012 presidential campaign Obama is the president preferred by atheists, but even the decent among them may find pause now that America is in the 11th hour of a future that will decide between liberty or the tyranny of Marxist rule. For the millions of Americans who believe in the Almighty, it is time for a prayer: “Please God let September 11, 2012 be the turnaround for America, which mainly because of You is a light in the dark to so many and has been so for 236 years.”
