CA should be two states.

If so, S. CA Liberals would be stupidly down and out, and N. CA would be laid-back thriving.

Roger,

Sadly, you are right on. How in the world does the California legislature come up with this stuff?

Thanks for the insightful article. Happy New Year.

You forgot the California DREAM Act which requires the state to grant hundreds of millions to illegal aliens to pay for their tuition, room, board, books, entertainment and other living expenses even while denying the same to brilliant California-born citizens. This was generated by the Mexican lobby here in California, a lobby that will cause California (my birth state) to turn from a glorious and beautiful land to a vile, corrupt and filthy third-world state... guess what, just like Mexico.

I can't wait for the day when the calicommies get the affects of their screwed up lame a$$ ideas. And when they got to tell the unions sorry we are out of money. I'll be making sure anyone I support knows that can go to hell. us in the other 49 states don't want to pay and we refuse to pay for your lame mistakes. I do hope America is paying attention to what states and cities are failing and who's in office. you'll find every state and city run by democrats are the ones who are failing. The longer they been running things, the worse off they are. they also have the highest taxes and the most people who are poor. Democrats are this nations poverty pimps. Stop being lied to, America. it's time to put them all in jail for their crimes against Americans.

Roger, A good summary of the Land of fruit & nuts. I often wonder if the Unions aren't running the state. After all, they sponsored Gov. Brown's Inaugural Gala.

And you didn't even touch on the rules and regs that apply to businesses. No wonder they are exiting CA.

If the NWO proceeds, CA will probably be Mexicala!

Looking forward to the Tea Party's Actions in 2012. Happy New Year.

Is it too late to save the Golden State?

Posted by Roger Gitlin on Dec 31, 2011 at 09:35 AM

California is an amazing State. Amazingly stupid! It may indeed be too late to save her.

According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, some 40,000 new laws take effect across the 50 States effective January 1, 2012.  California leads the nation in passing arguably the most absurd of these laws. The Assembly, State Senate and Governor Jerry Brown defy comprehension.
