CommentsI agree. NEWT 2012! How in the earth, the American people did not learn anything from 0bama's forced presidency on us?. What will happen, when Romney, who bought his nomination(?) with his millions, will face 0bama, who will have more money than him? He is fake, the people don't like him. He is, as 0bama, a bad speaker. You can't trust a word what he is saying. He sounds like a robot. My opinion, the only candidate who can and would beat 0bama, is Gingrich. He is intelligent, has experience and most of ALL, 0bama will fight dirty, he will get dirt. I can't see Romney capable to do the same.

Thanks for such a great article! Canada Free Press is leading the charge as far as how gutless the GOP is now. I am a letter writer. When things piss me off I let whoever know and I am writing letters with "snarky" comments that I would never have dreamed of saying years ago.. The republicans are complicit in this take over of American right up to their eyeballs and it is scaring the hell out of me.

It's another case of the left electing our candidate for us. McCain was just as unpopular as this Romney freak is, he looks like the lawyer we all associate bad lawyers as being. Almost clown like, phony to the core, and as lame a candidate as we could ever come up with.
His and McCain's rise to this position is exactly why we never have a real candidate to believe in, who would want to try? This is why election fraud is destroying any hope of us ever again being a nation that even remotely resembles what we once were.

I have only one thing to say. Romney Care???

"Putting forward an electable moderate with an ambiguous position on most issues is a credible strategy for winning elections....???????" If that were so, Romney would be flying high as the singular candidate.
AMBIGUOUS POSITION?! What imbecile concocted this fairy tale? To state that Conservatives are as wishy-washy on issues as Romney is an insult. Mr. Romney, are you running for president or are you vying for 1st Place in a Ken- Doll- Look- Alike Contest? Ditch the Grecian Formula, Sir, and start politicking like YOUR life and OUR lives depend on it!
It is urgent that November's results usher in a President and Cabinet with Titanium Cojones, not another bunch of diaper-wetters. NEWT 2012!

Romney is the last hurrah of the old Republican Party, the centrist strategy deployed one more time
Rarely have Republican voters made it as obvious that they would rather have anyone else than the inevitable nominee. Romney has the delegates summons all the voter enthusiasm of Taft and Ford combined. The establishment, as usual, isn’t paying attention or pondering the implication of a situation where Rick Santorum is repeatedly beating out Romney, not just because of his message, but because any non-Romney is capable of doing the same thing. And has done it.
The history of these primaries has been a list of alternative candidates to Romney who is winning because the candidates have either been personally destroyed by the media and/or the establishment, or because they have gotten in each other’s way. Romney has not gotten this far on merit. Had he been up against a leading competent candidate all the way through, he would now be in the same position that he was in 2008.More...
