CommentsExcellent article. The key question is "What is Revolution"as seen thru the eyes of "struggle". The Communist use of the word "forward" has distinct relationship to a profound revolutionary renovation of the world. Revolutionary transformation is a worldwide process. The process has five successive socio-economic formation. Primitive- communal, slave-holding,feudal, capitalist and communist. The struggle (process) is like going up a five step ladder to reach the top (communisum). Each of the four changes is a break in the old order to its very foundation. Revolutions means a leap foreward in the developement of society. Social evolution and revolution complement each other, for both are the necssary interdependent forms of the historical process. There shall always be some doubters that think "forward" is just a general word but as applied to the struggle it is defining an activists revolution. The goal being to establish the fifth step of developing society into a communistic world. I knew during the 2008 that this idiot wasn't right. Comrade Obama reminded too much of Peanut Brain Carter. Comrade Obama has proven me right since he has been in office. In fact he is worse than Peanut Brain. Posted by Billsocal on 05/03 at 04:23 AM | # Great article, and very informative. My personal observation of "Forward" was during the Obama 2008 campaign. The term moving forward was being applied anywhere and everywhere by the Obama people. It wasn't long before the conservative news teams started adding "moving forward" to situations where they still use the superfluous use of that term. Newspapers, and commentaries all add "moving forward" to almost everything they say or write. And, in my mind, that is a brainwashed term that was put into play by the Obama team. I personally cringe every time someone uselessly adds that term to whatever they are saying..Since when is it necessary to inform the reader or listener the obvious fact that everything that is going to happen is in the future, and it is not even possible for a coming event to have happened in the past? I think it would be wise for those who do not wish to promote the re-election of Barack Obama, to dump the mundane, overused words "moving forward"...moving forward. Get it? Forwardistan is not some enigmatic place, it's Lenin's Russia, Mao's China, O'Malley's Maryland and Obama's America
The left has always been enamored of “Forwardism” or “Progressivism” which mean much the same thing. Before MSNBC had Lean Forward, Mao had the Great Leap Forward which killed some 40 million people, far more people than MSNBC can ever dream of tuning in to their programs. When Lenin wanted to launch his own newspaper, he called it, “Vperod” or Forward. The name still lingers on among the left and appears on the mastheads of newspapers across the world. It’s Vorwarts in Germany, Voorwarts in the Netherlands and Ila al-Amam in the Arab world. Back in New York it’s The Forward, the venerable blotting paper of the Jewish left.
