Is There Still a Principled Defense of Traditional Marriage?
By Kelly OConnell Tuesday, May 22, 2012

Currently America is locked in turmoil regarding “gay marriage,” thanks in part to the president’s recent “evolutionary” approval of same-sex nuptials. In contrast, consider the perpetual success of state anti-homosexual marriage initiatives over the last decade. Given the depth of disagreement, there is not much deep analysis. So is there any enlightened opposition to the idea of Adam and Steve? In this essay are offered both religious and secular reasons for opposing gay marriage. Yet, the principled reader must make up his or her own mind as to the merits of this issue.
More...Elizabeth Warren: Senate Candidate, Marxist Author & Shameless Race Grifter
By Kelly OConnell Monday, May 14, 2012
Elizabeth Warren’s reign of fraudulent incompetence would be more startling if she wasn’t just a robotic Marxist, simply treading the well-worn path used by millions of other leftist charlatans. But, given the high stakes of her current MA US Senate bid, her addiction to underhanded maneuvering must be exposed. Her Harvard law professorship affords status to continue the progressive dream of demanding crippled Marxist ideals for public policy. Warren bellows for doomed-to-fail socialist policies which have only ever created human disaster. And, as always, this is done in the deified name of the People, despite Marxist ideology always uniformly harming the most destitute.
Obama: “We’ve Begun to See What Change Looks Like”—America: “No Thanks, Barack!”
By Kelly OConnell Monday, May 7, 2012

In a startling, unprovoked admission of a failure to embrace the American Vision, Obama recently summed up his first three years, stating “We’ve begun to see what change looks like.” That’s called taking ownership.
More...Will Pastors Risk Tax-Free Status to Help Save America?—Calling Black Robe Regiment II
By Kelly OConnell Monday, April 30, 2012
Long before America’s current absolute separation of church and state, colonial pastors regularly preached on politics. According to historians, 18th century sermons decisively encouraged future revolutionaries to resist King George. Moreover, in Western history, important and far-reaching political doctrines were typically deduced first by pastors, Christian professors, and believing philosophers, etc. In fact, without these eminent and brave men, there would be no modern free and prosperous West.
But today, American Believers languish in a ghetto assembled for anyone suggesting religion should influence public policy. Yet, as our currency reveals, previously such influences were assumed. If our forebears were under the same secularist strictures seen today, the early West would have never escaped mediocrity.
More...Trinity Versus Tyranny—Final Battle Over Fate of Man
By Kelly OConnell Monday, April 23, 2012
This essay attempts to answer a baffling question: Why has the West for centuries dominated legal, artistic, religious and humanistic advances over the rest of the globe? The answer offered here is rooted in foundational theological concepts predominant in different religions. In brief, the claim is the doctrine of the trinity is a more powerful and subtle foundation for a society than radical monotheism, found in either Islam or Marxism.
More...Why America is Devolving Towards Absolute Government Control
By Kelly OConnell Tuesday, April 17, 2012
The relentless encroachment of socialism upon America’s economic, cultural and governmental landscape is like a bad dream to most red-blooded Americans. When society changes it can seem like the ineluctable drift of evolution or chance. But in the case of America’s ongoing continued expansion of government powers, spiking taxes, and shrinking military, it’s all part of a planned elitist push into socialism. And one need not believe in secret conspiracies when contemplating this shift. In fact, for those paying attention, it was all outlined long ago by the Fabian Socialist society, and other groups such as the Frankfurt School, as explained below.
There is Historical, non-Biblical Proof of an Actual Jesus Christ of Nazareth
By Kelly OConnell Monday, April 9, 2012
What is the greatest question in Western history? It is probably safe to assert it’s the debate over whether the historical Jesus existed; and, if so—what was the nature of his person? Easter is a splendid time to revisit this topic. What does current scholarship say about the historical Jesus? Do historians still believe a man named Jesus of Nazareth lived approximately 2,000 years ago?
For Christians, Easter is a time to meditate upon the sufferings of Christ, His payment for sins upon the cross, and revel in His resurrection—the future hope of all Believers. And yet, if there were no actual Jesus, Christians would have little hope except that of symbolism. So did Christ actually exist, beyond stories and legends? What evidence is there outside of the New Testament? The volume Jesus Outside the New Testament, (2000 Eerdmans) by Robert E. Van Voorst, addresses this topic splendidly. (All quotes in this essay are Voorst’s, unless otherwise noted.)
More...Those Inciting Violence Over Martin Tragedy Must be Prosecuted
By Kelly OConnell Monday, April 2, 2012
The recent tragic shooting of Trayvon Martin understandably stirred up great debate over self-defense laws, citizen patrols, gun rights, and racial profiling. But despite the fact that the actual details of the case are still in dispute, several celebrities have called for a vigilante response. The question here is whether the right of Free Speech would protect these actions. The answer is, according to the US Supreme Court in the seminal case Brandenburg v. Ohio, Free Speech rights do not protect persons from words bringing harm to others. This is the topic of this essay, which suggests the USDOJ consider prosecuting these persons before the innocent are hunted down and murdered in the name of celebrity justice.
Sinister Liberal Version of “Natural Law” is a Perverse, Anti-Constitutional Hoax
By Kelly OConnell Monday, March 26, 2012
Everywhere today ring the shrill cries of liberals demanding “justice” for various groups—the poor, women, minorities, for environmental concerns, etc. This call sounds familiar since it resembles America’s traditional support for the destitute, widowed and orphaned. It’s a constant demand to do the “right” thing, as defined by leftism. Yet, on closer inspection, this appeal is not based upon any coherent theory of justice like “Natural Law.” In fact, it’s the exact opposite of traditional Western theory. Instead, this clever ploy manipulates the naive, proving a foil against Conservatism. So this sneaky tactic must be exposed as a hoax since following this charade has proved extraordinarily destructive.
Government Increasingly Set as Only Source of “True Knowledge”
By Kelly OConnell Monday, March 19, 2012
An astounding transformation in the concept of truth has occurred the last few decades in America. No longer are statements or ideas accepted simply on their soundness or logical consistency. In fact, logic often has no impact upon an idea’s popularity. Increasingly, an idea needs official government backing before it is deemed “true.” This change bodes extreme danger for the future of our democracy.
