Illogical attitudes towards guns
Re: Mayor Miller’s moronic musings
I agree with Klaus Rohrich’s criticsm of Toronto mayor David Miller,
and certainly do not understasnd the illogical attitudes towards guns
in Canada. On the one hand, you are told that no one needs a gun
for protection in Canada — you have the police for protection.
On the other hand, it is a crime not to secure a firearm from
the possibility of theft during during a burglary.
Can Canadians rely on the police to keep burglars out of their homes,
or can’t they? Which is it? If yes, then there’s no need to fear
the theft of guns by burglars. If not, then you _do_ have a need
for self-defense, and a government that requires you to submit
the the depradations of burglars is far more criminal and evil
than the burglars themselves.
