While I agree with Pastor Swank in regards to Judeo-Christian values being attacked, I have to take issue with his “Judeo-Christian Religion.” These are two religions, one born from the other. I’m sure our Jewish friends would not be very pleased to be considered Christian, even though Christianity was born out of Judaism, Jesus of Nazareth, a descendant of King David.
Yes, our traditional values are “Judeo-Christian,” because of the fact that as Christians, we also believe in the “Old Testament.” The “Jewish Bible,” for all practicle purposes. Therefore, our values are very much the same. So, Pastor Swank is correct in that assessment. I also agree with him in regards to the discrimination of Jews and Christians. This is very evident in Guantanamo Bay. Our soldiers are taught the proper way of handing a Qu’ran to a Muslem. They are also taught where they can and cannot walk during the Muslim prayers. So, the good Pastor is correct about the liberal left discrimination against Jews and Christians - at least in my mind. I just hope that our Jewish friends are not too insulted by the Pastor’s lumping them into one religion with us Christians.
