You are so correct in your analysis of Ontario and Quebec that I’m beginning to wonder if I wouldn’t be better off out West? I too despise the ‘Liberals’, both provincial and federal and am ashamed that so many in Ontario vote for them in election after election. I believe in honesty, self-reliance and detest government meddling in every aspect of citizens’ lives in this part of the country.
We are facing a serious threat to our constitutional rights in Ontario at present, due to the ill-conceived and undoubtedly ineffective ‘pit bull ban’ promoted and designed by our Attorney-General, a showboating twit if ever there was one. He ignored expert input which included using the Calgary animal control model as it is humane and has been very effective. Many think our concerns are trivial as they relate to dog ownership, due to their inability to generalize and take situations to their logical conclusion. They also get their information from a terribly biased press. Today, I have sent the following letter to a few Toronto newspapers but I doubt it will be printed (I do get lucky occasionally in that regard).
