Nepal and the media
I see where the government of Nepal is the latest third-world dictatorship to order the round up of reporters and columnists who had dared to criticize it. Though dictators and western politicians are miles apart on almost everything, they all sing from the same song sheet when it comes to taking flak from the media. Imagine how happy some of our politicians would be if they, like their third-world counterparts, had the power to round up the usual media suspects whenever reports of their their crimes and misdemeanors hit the airwaves and news stands.
