Da proof is da proof
Pathetic facsimile of a politician, a.k.a. Stephane Dion, says: Reducing the use of cars could improve the quality of life for many Canadians, Dion added. (Montreal Gazette, August 24, 2005).
Well, Stephane, here’s my quote for the day: “Drastically reducing the number of LIEberal M.P.s, will definitely improve the quality of life for ALL Canadians!”
We Have the Proof, So it is Proven!
OTTAWA - Instead of answering questions about Liberal policies on gas prices, Environment Minister Stephane Dion instead yesterday claimed that he had been misquoted (Hansard, September 28, 2005). Perhaps Dion should take up his complaints with the Calgary Herald and Montreal Gazette.
Dion on Gas Prices:
â—¦ Environment Minister Stephane Dion said high gas prices are actually good for Canada in the medium and long term. (Calgary Herald, August 24, 2005)
â—¦ “We have to get used to changing our way of life,” Dion said. “We consume way too much gas. If all of humanity had the same consumption levels as we do, it would take five planets instead of one in order to maintain the planet’s capacity for reproduction.” (Calgary Herald, August 24, 2005)
â—¦ While the rapidity of the increase has made it difficult for Canadians to adjust, high gas prices are not necessarily a bad thing, Dion pointed out. (Montreal Gazette, August 24, 2005)
â—¦ Dion said there are a variety of alternatives to paying more at the pump, including using public transit and cycling. (Montreal Gazette, August 24, 2005)
â—¦ Reducing the use of cars could improve the quality of life for many Canadians, Dion added. (Montreal Gazette, August 24, 2005)
â—¦ Canadians and many of his own colleagues might be cringing when they see the price at the pumps these days, but high gas prices are actually good for Canada in the medium and long term, said federal Environment Minister Stephane Dion. (Montreal Gazette, August 24, 2005)
â—¦ “But at the level of the environment, it is something inevitable. We have to turn toward other sources of energy and not only depend on hydrocarbons.” (Montreal Gazette, August 24, 2005)
â—¦ “We have had 45 smog days in Ontario since the beginning of the year. At the same time, we are stricter and stricter when it comes to regulations on air quality. (Montreal Gazette, August 24, 2005)
â—¦ “We remove sulfur in gas, we remove lead, we make enormous progress - but the more automobiles there are, the more pollution there is.” (Montreal Gazette, August 24, 2005)
Stephane Dion can deny his quotes all he wants but his own words don’t lie. As a former Prime Minister Once said, “a proof is a proof. What kind of a proof? It’s a proof. A proof is a proof and when you have a good proof is because it’s proven.â€?
