Downloading music in Canada
The Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) is claiming that young
Canadians are illegally downloading music from the internet. Well, CRIA is lying. The Federal Court of Appeal hs ruled that this is legal in Canada and is paid for by the levy that doubles the cost of blank CDs in Canada. CRIA knows this. It was their
lawsuit that they lost!
There are laws against false advertising. There ought to be a law against press
releases from supposedly respectable organisations which lie to the public.
