Slanderous comments on witches

Re: Walmart goes wicca

I am writing to inform you that your article on Wicca
has offended a great deal of people and I am honestly
shocked that any decent publisher allowed that to go
to print. I am offended because people like you don’t
take the time for research on the subject in which you
choose to write. I would understand if you can produce
some type of literature to prove that this shouldn’t
be sold to the public but since you haven’t taken the
time to research the religion of Wicca then, my
companions and I feel you have no literary right to
write an article about that in which you do not
thoroughly know and understand. I have never
understood why people such as yourself keep trying to
lock this type of literature in a vault, because
honestly I would rather my chlid be Wiccan because
they understand and believe in the values of nature
than be Christian or Catholic because they are told to
be that way by sociaty. There is a saying that I
believe to be 100% true and I will raise my children
to believe it: “It is better to be confused about what
you believe, than to believe what you are told.” In
this country we are granted the freedom of religion
which means you can be any religion you want to be,
but people of some faiths feel that, that right
should be revoked but it still stands and if you don’t
understand something you should at least do some
research on the matter before putting slanderous
comments that truely offend people.

Sincerely,
Alley
