Americans should sue Canadians over booze

Re: When all else fails–blame the Americans

Perhaps America should sue the Canadian government and Canadian distilleries for all the Canadian booze that was smuggled into America during Prohibition that caused so much gang warfare, death, and destruction. America should be able to recoup the costs associated with smuggled Canadian booze and the violence it caused.

Don’t forget that any cash award has to have interest payments since this occurred back in the 1920’s and 1930’s.

Seriously, the violence of Canada’s gang problem and America’s Prohibition are the result of failed social policies, not because of booze or guns. Strengthening borders will help some, but the real problems for both nations crime originates at home and nowhere else.

Sincerely,
