Regulate the spelling for Christ

Dear Editor:
Re: Orders from Brussels: Spell Christ with a lower-case “c”

I am very puzzled by your claim that the EU would regulate the spelling for Christ.
In a federation with tens of languages, some of them regulated by national elite bodies this sounds like utter non-sense.

Which language are you talking about ?

There are probably more than 20 languages in the EU, and at least 10 different “official” languages.
I can’t imagine the Brits would let EU regulate English, the Academie Francaise would take any legislation outside themselves etc.

Do you speak Dutch ? do you have any idea what the grammatical implications are for a word to have a capital or not.
In German, ALL nouns have capitals.

I’d recommend you check-out the Bible Gateway for Matthew 24:24 and Philipians 1:21 -
you will see that the word for Christ is not capitalized in several languages for Mat 24:24…
(eg: Castillan/Spanish, Icelandic, Dutch etc).

You’re not citing your sources -
If you are misleading everybody and spread falseness. What fruits do you expect to bear ?
