Re: A last Christmas in Palestine?
William John Hagan seems to think that Christmas is the season to make up little racist fairy tales! Rarely have I seen such an ignorant, or perhaps intentionally misleading, narrative about the relations between Christians and Muslims in Palestine. And who does he cite as his authority for the ill treatment of Christians by Muslims? Daniel Pipes, a noted Islamaphobic bigot! I am willing to bet that Mr. Hagan has not set foot in Bethlehem in recent years, if ever, or talked with any Christian Palestinians in the area.
I suppose that it would have been too much to ask of such a distorted mind to mention that the residents of Bethlehem have been imprisoned by Israel’s nefarious wall, so that those who wish to visit the town in celebration of the Prince of Peace are met at checkpoints by the Ogre of Israel’s Occupation instead?
