Celebtities and no talent twits
Dear Editor:
Re: Celebrity culture
Thank you for you column on the prevelance of the “celebrity culture” in America (and other places as well such as the UK).
It’s one of the things that I profoundly dislike about my own country America. You’re right that it has reached ridiculous proportions and levels. If you’ve ever read some of the inane statements of such intellectual giants such as the Hilton or Simpson sisters or the no talent twit Britney Spears, it boggles the mind why they would get one inch of coverage in any rational media outlet.
Sean Penn, Harry Belafonte, Al Franken, and Michael Moore are particularly loathsome to my way of thinking. I think much of what they do and say is seditious and treasonous. I don’t understand why so few people realize or admit that Islamofascism is at war with Western civilization.
I’ve been to Canada several times and like it and the people. Canada is a beautiful country and I like the idea that it’s different from the US in some ways. I’ve been to Vancouver Montreal, Quebec and the Gaspe’ and been treated well by friendly people.
I hope to make it to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland some day.
As an American I’m somewhat bothered by the comments of some Canadians, but then I remember that they’re mostly just “liberals” and they’re the same unrealistic ideologues everywhere.
Thanks again for a good column.
