And you Judi know nothing about the lives of these kids/soldiers pre-enlistment, as a Canadian. The average kid enlisted, if they have a family, is from a single parent one. About 90 percent the single parents in USA are impoverished. These kids are signing up and getting sent to Iraq because of our imperialist economic values here. They have few if any other life choices. And I don’t support them choosing Iraq over Walmart. Personally I think their “sacrifice” due to a fallacy that they think they will be “free” finally from poverty and parental/legal authority in the US by joining and going to fight in Iraq, is the fault of a long decent from reading and writing in our public schools in the US. The Americans that voted for Bush and this war are either greedy rich or poorly educated.
