Amused at Canadian border security
Dear Editor:
One can only be amused by the Canadian idea of border security as it was evinced during the recent shoot out at the Blaine crossing.
From the CBC news service:
“CBC News has learned that when unarmed Canadian border guards found out the murder suspects were coming their way, they left their posts at two crossings along the B.C. border: the Peace Arch crossing at Douglas, which was closed for a while, and the Pacific Highway Truck Crossing, to which traffic from Douglas was diverted.
Supervisors were left at each crossing to protect the Canadian side.
A spokeswoman with Canada Border Services says the guards have the legal right to refuse to work if they believe they are in imminent danger. “
It should be noted that “supervisors are unarmed as well.
Lumber jacks with mascara, it took a brutish, insensitive and probably non-inclusive Deputy Sheriff with, (gasp!) a gun (!) to ram the murder suspect’s car and engage in and win a shoot out.
The “future is Canada say the liberals, we must be more civilized and like them to become full citizens of the world, yada yada yada…..Paging Mr. OBL, paging Mr. OBL!
