Where did you do your research regarding General Wesley Clark?

Since it’s so egregiously incorrect, I can only assume that you regularly correspond with Karl Rove. The “Perfumed Prince” sobriquet came from Hackworth, and for which he vigorously apologized long before his death, stating he was profoundly mistaken about Clark. You are also apparently ignorant of the fact that Clark was the Supreme Allied Commander of NATO and the most highly decorated officer since Eisenhower. Forty-four international ambassadors wrote letters of endorsement during Clark’s presidential primary campaign. Officers as diverse in background as Colin Powell and Alexander Haig wrote glowing reports of Clark’s military record, as did his former military aides. All of these are a matter of public record and can be found via the internet without overly taxing yourself. It is baffling as to why you attempted to smear a man who spent over 40 years of his life serving his country. And since when is it grounds for snide comment to be academically first in one’s class at West Point and a Rhodes scholar? Your readers, and certainly General Clark, deserve better.

Sincerely yours,
