Your column echoes my feelings and, I’m certain, the feelings of mainstream America. “Mainstream news media” is not the correct name for America’s national news media for it has no idea of the ideology of mainstream Americans. The public knows the hostility of the national media and Democrats towards President Bush far outways their concern for the security of our country. The question in my mind, and in the minds of many I talk to, is: Can the Democrats hate President Bush so much or want power so badly that they would jeopardize our country’s security and the safety of this and future generations? They are always in search of a “smoking gun” to use against President Bush, but the only smoking gun a Democrat ever held was the one he shot himself in the foot with.
