Dear Editor:
Re: Shields should be made mandatory in taxis
I’ve been a taxi driver for 28 years. I don’t want a shield. I’ve been robbed, punched, shot at (I drive in the U.S.). The shooting was a random event, not related to any crime directed at me. I was just a handy target. ;o)
Here’s my point. I’ll let you run my taxi business when you let me edit your newspaper. What’s that you say? How could I edit your newspaper when I don’t know anything about the newspaper business?
Yeppers, that’s my point.
I will vouch for cameras. They have a wonderful calming effect on most problem children.
