Re: Scientists respond to Gore’s warnings of climate catastrophe
Thank you for a breath of fresh air, so-to-speak!
Your column on Gore’s pseudo scientific new campaign movie is exactly right. I’ve read many articles similar to yours over the years but they don’t get much attention in the American media. I’ve seen non-media scientists who actually laugh at climate change questions put to them by some talking heads in the mainstream media.
The best example was last year during Hurricane Katrina. NBC interviewed a scientist who’s field is historical climate changes. The interviewer asked if global warming was the cause of the hurricane and “how many more can we expect?” The scientist’s immediate reply was “That is all nonsense. The world climate changes and temperatures over the past century are all within normal parameters.”
The interview was over within seconds.
Gore climbed on his climate platform several years ago, grasping at the ozone myth.
It is interesting that he and other “Green” activists don’t mention ozone anymore. Perhaps that is because the ozone myth has been completely discredited by science.
What is sad for me as an citizen of the USA is that I have to go to Canadian, Australian, or British news outlets to see columns like yours.
