Re: Scientists respond to Gore’s warnings of climate catastrophe

As a regular, non-scientific guy living in Tampa, Florida, I felt it necessary to write a letter thanking you for printing something other than — or at least an alternative to — the incredible furor over the so-called global warming issue. In particular, the ending — where the end of life as we know it was juxtaposed with the waste of billions and billions of dollars was wonderful.

It’s about time somebody, somewhere, pointed out that one opinion is just that — one opinion. One of my best friends is a scientist, and he has always said that we don’t even know what we don’t know. Something I think should be told to Al Gore. I really think the 2000 election unhinged the man.
