On Sunday July 30th 2006 a pro-democracy student activist Akbar Mohammadi was
murdered in the notorious Evin Prison by Islamic Republic Officials. His
life was brutally brought to an end in the same prison where Zahra Kazemi,
the Canadian Journalist was tortured.

We will be holding a gathering in memory of Mr. Mohammadi as well as all
other
prisoners of conscience in Iran who have suffered years of torture solely
because of their beliefs and ideologies.

We invite you to join us on this day to honor the memory of Mr. Mohammadi
and to condemn the brutal human rights abuses committed by the Islamic
Regime against innocent people. Your support will be great appreciated.
