Re: Friends, Neighbors and Barbarians, Lend Me Your Ear
I enjoy reading your comments on the seal wars controversy and hope you
don’t get too much hate mail from the latest (barbarians etc).
It is sometimes disheartening to think of the wealthy AR organizations
feasting off the myths and artful falsifications of the seal hunt, but
sometimes one reads something that lifts the spirits somewhat. I have
appended a recent on that came out — in all places — in the UK. Not that
there are not some balanced folks in that country too, but the fact that The
Guardian chose to publish something along the lines it did is what is a
little unexpected.

(P.S. Portugal Cove was my favorite place to visit when I lived in St.
John’s around forty years ago, many fond memories remain.)
