Quebec, a nation?
Dear Editor,
The very attempt by the Harper Conservative Government to pass legislation and make the Quebecois a NATION, sounds like an attempt to get past Meech Lake and avoid any input from the people of Canada.
Every POLL, so far taken, has gone against the idea of the Quebecois being named a NATION, so how does the media and the government think it can throw dust in our eyes, by telling us that the majority of Canadians favour the government legislation? It seems to me, that the Harper government is acting more like a dictatorship and telling the Canadian electorate that your views do not count. If this is the true attitude of the Harper Conservative Government, then “WE THE PEOPLE” must bring down Harper Government come the next election, because their contempt for the electorate must be answered resolutely.
Now is not a time for Canadians to rejoice, but for Canadians to grieve, at their country’s downfall. Today, I am in open support for the BREAK-UP of Canada, because the Canada that Harper envisions, is an impossibility.
