Dear Editor,
A thought about your commentary re cannabis.
Although the overwhelming bulk of scientific research into cannabis usage has shown it to be innocuous, the problem the “Right” consistently has in elections is exposed by your opinions.
The “Right” likes to prohibit things it doesn’t like. The mindset seems to date from the Puritans, where anything that is enjoyed by anyone is “sinful”….and therefore to be avoided, villified, and where possible legislated against.
This goes against the core values of a free and just society, where education and free choice go hand-in-hand.
Probihibitions do not and never have worked in any era.
Try a little education yourself, rather than spreading fallacies driven by Calvinistic attitudes.
