I think your Air Canada article is more than a little off base. Where is this sense of entitlement coming from? Air Canada is a private air carrier, just like every other air carrier in the country. It is under no obligation to serve Newfoundland at all , however it serves Newfoundland on a greater scale than WestJet, which doesn’t attract your “greedy and spoiled” label. CanJet has chosen to discontinue scheduled service altogether, yet no disdain there.
Astraeus is an air carrier with a different business model from Air Canada. If the province’s interest is in attracting more air service from Air Canada, my suggestion is that it would be better served proving a solid business case than trashing the carrier and its executives. That’s a more traditionally successful sales approach.
