9/11 truth theories
Dear Editor:
Re 9/11 “Truthers” ignore tragedy of first responders
I found your article on 9/11 quite confusing. You spent over half of the article addressing 9/11 truth theories, increased media coverage and adoption by credible people. You mention in detail the warnings of Paul Craig Roberts, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury about a new planned 9/11 to warrant an Iran invasion. And you provide no reason why these are not credible and worrying developments.
With one sentence: “While 9/11 conspiracies like Robert’s continue to surface on the Internet, no one seems willing to champion the cause of real 9/11 injustices”, you switch to health problems of 9/11 responders. Obviously you understand that a movement like 9/11 Truth is a grass roots development, and as such cannot be directed to investigate, or as you suggest, “champion” particular causes, such as the health affects of 9/11 on New Yorkers (not just first responders). While your article attempts to attack 9/11 truthers (”chasing phantoms” as you say), by offering no reason why this movement should be ignored, (i.e. why shouldn’t we be concerned about Bush’s new executive order, what are the precedents), you inadvertantly lend credence and support to their cause.
Regards,
Colin Robertson
