Battle of Hong Kong, and Pearl Harbor
Dear Editor:
Lets not forget that this day in history, the battle of Hong Kong took place during Second World War. Two Canadian Regiments took part in this battle.Most people remember today as the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Our two Canadian regiments, The Royal Rifles of Canada and the Winnipeg Grenadiers although greatly out numbered by the Japanese Troops, fought with great honour and extreme bravery. Our troops were later after surrender, were subjected to in-humane treatment in the Japanese slave labour (Prisoners of War) camps for 4 yrs.
Today lets remember these great Canadians.
