HOLIDAY TREES, PC SONGS AND THE TOY BRINGER
Dear Editor:
I hate to hear all the carping about the madding, shopping crowd at
Holiday- Season-time every year. I love to see the Holiday decorations
glittering in the stores and the Holiday trees all aglow in the evenings.
Then there’s the pleasure of watching the kiddies being entertained by
Old-Man-Toy-Bringer in the malls while all the old familiar Holiday Season
caro… oops, songs waft in the air. Only a Grinch or a Scrooge would
object to all this Holiday Season joy.
I got a package of Holiday tree seeds from the Oz catalog last year, and
now have a home-grown Holiday tree that’s been twinkling away since
Thanks.. oops, I mean Harvest Holiday. So, to all of you Scrooges and
Grinches out there, a merry Holiday Season and a Ho ho ho. No.
That’s sexist. How about He he,he? No. that’s chauvinist. I
guess we’ll have to settle for a chuckle from the jolly toy-giver, until, that
is, someone claims that a chuckling old guy in a red suit is an affront to
his or her religion, or a violation of their constitutional rights.
